Here are the powder coated pics. It came out BAD ASS, I like the White. Makes my burb look like crap though lol! When I Line-X the interior I will have then coat the top of the diamond plate plateform for good traction. Now I need a back bumper. In this pic it only has two bolts holding it on. Will bolt it up tomorrow. Wanted to get it on tinight. Picked it up by myself and put it on. I have to get my upper body in the stinger and leverage it back and up onto the frame horns. It AIN'T easy! but I can do it. The frame adapters are not installed yet. 3 more pics in the next post too.

That looks really good man, nice work. Makes me want to get back to work on mine.

Thanks guys, The Blacked out grill helps. If the grill was White too I could see it being too much White.

I like the white. Got anything goin on under the winch?

Do you mean the open area underneath in the center in the pic? No not really, It just worked out that way. Might be a good idea to build a cross member towards the frame horns that ties into the bumper mounts though. Would make it hella strong up there. Thanks Kert for bringing that up, a light bulb just went on over my head! :D.

Looks really great. The last time I saw a "bumper" that big was on the front of a Metrolink Train.:eek1: OK, OK, you really need to quit your current job and start making Soft tops and custom bumbers. Very well done.:bow:
Hoby

BTW, I honestly didn't like the bumper in the first post and just thought it just looked gaudy (sp). Now,:waytogo:

lol! thanks man, It's funny how the pics make it look HUGE on the front of the truck. It's an optical illusion really, atleast to me it is. In person I think it looks awesome. The truck will look much better with a lift and 38/42's under it aswell. Right now it's a bone stock Burb with 33's lol!

Yep like it If you added a bar to the bottom between the frame horns it would be almost perfect. Im not sure but a diamond plate alum skid plate like filler might look pretty trick too.

Clarify a bar, top to bottom, between the frame horns? I'm not picturing it. The "top to bottom" is losing me. I like a crossmember skid plate tied into everything idea. I will work on that idea.

Sorry spelling error subtract the "p" from top :haha:Fixed it! My fingers type faster than my brain works.

I mean a horizontal bar as low as you can between the frame horns. Then for the skid plate attach it to the winch mount base and run diagnal back and down so that it basically fills in the whole bottom part between the frame horns. The bottom would attach to the bar im talking about.

This is just what I would do I think it would add a TON of strenth. It would add support to the winch and also side to side in the event of an inpact.

Then cover the yellow bars up with the alum skid plate.

I will have to view the pic when I get home, At work it doen not show up, is only a red X. Thanks for the suggestions! I get what your describing. :waytogo:

I think I strained my back pretty good putting my bumper on by myself, My back is SORE :doah:.

To install it I put the bumper directly in front of the truck, the mounts are on the ground and the stinger is sticking straight up. To pick it up I have to get my upper body in thru the stinger which puts my body posistion in a bent over at the waist with bent knee's and a wide stance posistion. ( I know, I know, NOT a good visual!:D:haha:)

I have the radius of the stinger leveraging on about the mid back of my back for leverage. Don't feel good on the spine, I have padding on the stinger at the radius. Then I hold onto the grill of the truck and start to upright my upper back pulling on the grill like climbing a ladder till I'm upright, leveraging the winch plate on my thigh's, that don't feel good! Then I reach out and grab ahold of what I can on the bumper and take small steps forward till I can set it on the top of the "C" of the frame. Then I wiggle it on till the weights off my back. Bumper weigh's atleast 150/175 Lbs I think. I don't think I will do it again without help next time.
