vr1 20w50 is discontinued ?
I said in my post "before it is discontinued". Are you saying it is discontinued?vr1 20w50 is discontinued ?
No, I already posted about that.Did we decide Baldwin is all American?
Who are you?No, I already posted about that.
Where did your memory go?
I would stay away from Fram based upon experience 10+ years ago.I don't have anywhere local that sells WIX and I liked being able to just swing by NAPA when I needed one instead of having to order them and wait.
In some reading last night, it seems Fram's Ultra filters are performing the best in testing down to 15 micron. May be time to give the orange can another try since they're readily available locally?
I am just thinking that one day flat tappet engines will be so far and few between that it will not be financially viable any longer for Valvoline to manufacture petroleum based oil any longer with Zinc in it. Eventually Valvoline will just go to a synthetic racing oil.no I am not I was asking, cause I read your post as past tense. I thought it was still available. Though I haven't shopped for any in bit, I have a bunch of Lucas for my old stuff.
Back in 1988 or 89 the Chines bought Allied Signal, which included the FRAM brand name. It was not until the early to mid-90's, during the Clinton years, that all the Allied Signal US manufacturing plants where closed, and the workers laid off. The Chines got away with riding on the FRAM reputation for quality for a few years, until people starting catching on that FRAM was now cheap Chines sh!t.I would stay away from Fram based upon experience 10+ years ago.
I doubt this. They will just keep raising the price. What may happen is that it gets too expensive to be reasonable.I am just thinking that one day flat tappet engines will be so far and few between that it will not be financially viable any longer for Valvoline to manufacture petroleum based oil any longer with Zinc in it. Eventually Valvoline will just go to a synthetic racing oil.
If my wife's car isn't leaving puddles I know to add oil.... Damn Chevy's 2.5L....I had a brand new Wix filter in my wife's car fail. Leaked at the seam. I have the oil stains on the driveway to remind me every day.
I couldn't figure out where the oil was coming from so we took it to our mechanic. He had seen a few similar Wix failures recently.
That's the shop and video that started this thread. LOL
