Had to fix the steering box. John stole a part off of my parts rig that I was not aware of......

The power steering is terrible now. Might have some air in the system. Either way, it turns REALLY sharp now, to both directions. Much better than I was getting from the push pull setup.

I was surprised by how very little braking power it had with out hydraulic fluid in the hydra boost setup. I figured it would be like vacuum brakes, just have to push harder. I was getting almost no braking at all. Had to downshift to slow down.

That lug stud? I have no idea. Just old? It actually still holds.

Martin

I wouldn't think it would be a loose wheel, as the other seven studs look fine.

Hmm...I've run my Suburban many trips with weak or broken P/S setup. I didn't think it was that bad. Running weakly was the worst, because I would go to mash down on the pedal and it would occasionally provide brake boost. Lead to some sudden stops when I wasn't expecting it. Same with the power steering. Small bursts of assist, causing over-corrections. Both issues were so minor that it never was much of a hassle. :dunno:

Although, after driving it each day lately, I'm slowly forgetting what good brakes are supposed to feel like... :haha:

Yeah, I believe something else may be wrong, because I had maybe 5% of the braking ability it is suppose to have.

Martin

It has brakes that will slow it down.

I have driven it around.

The back needs enclosed bad.

I keep trying to convince Wade to come work on it, but he is always busy.

Martin

Wade is suppose to be saving for 5.13s or 5.38s and lockers. Of course we know how that goes. Gears will really wake It up.

I believe it needs a power steering pump, and possibly a steering box. Turns hard to one direction than the other.

I also did some more really ugly welding today.

I also climbed some stuff. It needs lockers. Open axles blow.
