I broke **** today. It was not a good day.
We went down on the river, and we were having a good time. I wasn't trying anything risky, because I was the only rig out there. A couple hours later another buddy showed up in his Blazer. We were having a lot of fun, but still not doing anything to serious. Well I drove up on a drift tree, and broke a branch off and hung up on it. No big deal. While trying to drive myself off I snapped the left Dana 60 outer. That is three Dana 60 outers in a month. ****! So no big deal, I have a set of 35 spline Yukons on the way anyhow.
My buddy pulls me off the tree, I kick the mangled fender back into place and we started heading back for the bridge. Then there was a loud pop and there went my spindle nuts. I have no idea what I all broke, but I can imagine the spindle is trash, along with possibly the hub. Had to limp it a couple miles off the river with nothing other than the caliper holding the left front wheel from falling off. It had some serious negative camber.
At this point I wasn't too angry. **** happens. So we are going to back it onto my buddies trailer. I tell them they have to guide me, because I can't really see what I am doing. Just shy of 10 people standing around watching, and no one tells me to steer one way or the other. That is when I hear my left rear tire pop as the ramp lock shred the side wall. That is when my mood went South.
So now I need one 325/85R16 Michelin XML, 2 Dana 60 spindles, a 30 spline outer axle shaft, a set of 30 spline Dana 60 lockouts, a set of 35 spline Dana 60 lock outs, two sets of spindle nuts, various bearings, some Dana 60 axle shaft u-joints, possible a hub, and more.
It was sure fun until then though.......
