Work Truck Build : Now featuring a budget!

I know I know but theyre 16.5s and the truck is currently 6 lug. Plus I want to run the factory 99-03 chevy 8 lug wheels when I do an SAS/8 lug swap and theyre 16in.

I think since my wallet is hurting enough as it is Im just gonna run the trooper tires for now. I would really rather have the tires I actually want on the s10 when I put it together. Although I could run those tires Paul has on the s10 with recentered H1s

Ah Didn`t know that they were 16.5 I thought I was on to something good for both of you guys!

To Bad for a quick fix!

Well picked up the 255/85R16 from Paul today. Much appreciated. They'll be going on the tube frame as its the size tire I originally wanted for it and theyre still around 40-50%.

So the old trooper duratracs that are practically new are going on the work truck. The 255/85s from Paul are going on the s10 tube frame. Speaking of which Im going to look at an ext cab 93 tomorrow that got a new front clip and cab quarters and rocker done on it for $700.

So the duratracs wound up on the work truck w/ the black steel 8 holes. I thought they would stick out to far but turns out theyre just right.

Good thing this isnt a contest  :D

Do the truck is sitting nice. Doesnt squat even with a single car steel trailer and an s10 on the back :waytogo:

And this is the current state of the trooper awaiting its dreadful ride to the boneyard after I bolt the 285s on it. So here comes a new thread for the s10 lol.

looks bitchin with the little suspension tweak and the new shoes on it.

Hey Vinnie do you have a cover for the welder?
Seems like the salt will raise hell with it
Like the way the truck is right now
What was the original GVW? 7200?

No I don't have a cover for it. They're a pain in the ass but my father has been bugging.me.I should get one. You raise a good point with the salt too.

The machine is perfectly fine left in weather but we all know what happens.

The gvwr is the lowest a 3/4 ton can be. The same as a heavy half IIRC but u don't know the number.

Do you still have this truck?

Nope. Recently dismantled. I bought an 08 2500HD about a year ago because I needed to reliably travel 6+ hours. The rear went to a member here on a Rousche Creek emergency repair mission and its currently being parted out. The rear springs are going in my street truck, the trans and tcase are going in my s10 project.
