Would black be a good color for this?

If you are gonna use it mostly for trail duty, leave it that color. If you wan't it blingin', try Rust Oleum Royal Blue.

color wise i'd go blue red or black but i have to ask are you gonna put a bumper on the front that would sit tight against the body? it looks almost like you have 2 bumpers stacked on top of eachother there.

kinda looks like 2 bumpers. mudbogAD and i have body lifts on our trucks and we cut the ends off the frame rails and raised them and welded them back in place and braced them up good and beefy. he has a 3" and you cant even tell. i only have a 2".

Too many trucks. Too many plans. Too little time and too little money. I have lots of "stuff" accumulated, but no money. This "truck/Blazer" got put together with minimal money. If you dont count the winch and bumper, I have under $1500 into it over 3 years and it has all the good stuff (running gear).

$600 original purchase price (minus about $550 in the sale of the old running gear, motor, tires/wheels)

Traded stuff for the wheels, fender flares, nerf bars, mud flaps, rear 14 bolt, Holley Valve covers, etc...

$15 for light bar
$20 for rear bumper
$675 for Warn 8274 Winch and Bumper (came with the 2 KC lights now sitting up top)
$250 for 8" lift springs
$0 for bug deflector

Parts vehicles and other trucks donated the:
Dana 60 front, 396 motor, hood, 40" tires, exhaust, hitch, shocks, drop drag link, radiator, tailgate.

Sorry for taking your 8" lift from ya. But at least I put it to use under this thing. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My friend had a bumper that was raised up to match the body. He got pulled over and the cop said "the bumper has to remain in line with the factory framerails". That and Wa. state has bumper height restrictions. I think my bumper is still 2" over the limit. So, I'll leave it there...that and cause I'm too lazy to do any major fabrications. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
