Would I Regret Getting Rid Of My 4x4 for a 2wd Street Rod

Well, you're probably asking the wrong crowd for an unbiased answer, however, here's my take.

I've got a pretty bada$$ truck. It's a 4 door, 4wd dually and I love driving it. While I was driving it, all I thought about was getting my GTO convertible going again. Well, now that my truck is down for buildup/motor swap, my daily driver is the GTO. I love dropping the top and crusing around in that car, but all I can think about now is finishing my truck. :doah:

It's like the grass is somehow greener. Is there a reason you can't have both?

Like everyone else has said you will regret it...cuz I am there now. Last march I traded this....for this.

As much as I love the 65 I reeeeeeaaaaalllly miss my K5. As the saying goes I had put a lot of blood, sweat, tears and $$$ into that thing and seeing it go was very hard. To this day my 3 and a half year old asks me from to time "where did the Blazer go daddy?"...he remembers.

Only now am I sort of fixing the situation and that's by buying one of our company trucks from my boss...1998 K3500 crew cab. It's stock but in great shape and the price was right...$500...time to start building.

Some day I will get another K5 but it will never be my first one...I will always miss that one.

As ARAMP said...try and do both.

I bought a trans Am recently, let me tell you. I LOVE driving it, much more creature comforts, better MPG.

But getting back in my blazer is like putting on your favorite pair of shoes. Just feels right

i would trade yourtruck for a car. Just my two cents

Well, thanks for the opinions guys. The only way I was going to get rid of it before would've been for another k5 Blazer but lowered. I love older cars, but having that top that can be taken off is just amazing...
I have decided to keep the Blazer and maybe run across a 2wd one down the road and have a lifted Blazer and a lowered one as well just for cruisin around in...
Thanks
