"WRAPTOR" anti wrap bar.

Just an update,

Building a crossmember for the blazer crowd as we speak. Fact the welds are cooling right now! Needs to be fitted again to the frame and the jig made up.

So, with that in mind, should be good to go. I do want to say right off though, the blazer that I'm fitting it off of doesn't have a driveshaft and or tcase and due to the shorter wheel base this could be an issue yet. Worst case scenario is the crossmember tube may have to have a rise in the center.

So are you going to build the rise in the center of the cross meember before you fit it up in anticipation of installing it in a rig with a transfer case and driveshaft?

Well, we did some measuring and figuring last night and we scrapped the original plan. (so, I have some really cool body mounts if anybody needs them.) I'm going to have to come up with some crossmember that will fit inside the frame rails. The Wraptor will end up being shorter, there just isn't any way around it. It will still be longer than the front of the springs and with the wristed shackle I dont' think it will ever bind or cause issues with suspension travel. I'll test the first one to be sure though.

But, you are right, it needs to be setup on a blazer with a drivetrain installed. I've been using Mikeyd05's chassis but have another in mind if I can come to terms with the owner.

Worked on the crossmember a bit not to long ago. Gona have to be quite a bit different to work.

Soon as I get caught up on orders I'll get back too it. Just a matter of putting the cross member in the right place.

Right now I'm think it will be a 3 piece crossmember that will have to be welded after being bolted in place. Still searching for an easier alternative without sacrificing anything else.

Plus you have to take into account for Doubler set ups.

and that blazer wheelbase gets shorter faster!

Yes it does. Guys like me are no help either, very little lift and dual t cases really can shorten things up. If you do need any pics or measurements let me know. I found out I do need to order the Guardsmen soon. Hit my pinion a few times this past weekend. I have no idea how though.:D

Any updates ???
Blazer with a doubler waiting.

Still working on it. Just basically down to making a decision on how to implement and how much will be end user welded.

Hi Kert,

Any news on the Blazer cross memeber front?

Unfortunately I haven't found a suitable vehicle to do the test fit on yet.

Ok, well, I'll wait...If I ahppen to drive my rig across the country I'll stop by and you can have a test vehicle...:D

Sounds good! Been looking for something with very little lift if any at all and something left of the frame and body. All I have found so far is so far gone, it aint even worth pulling home.

Cool, Cool, Cool I'll wait, I am a loayal customer after our last experience...maybe by the time this is sorted out the engine cross memeber will be done too?
