So where were at now is the truck will move under it's own power again, but the shift indicator is not matching up with the transmission-----P is R, R is neutral, neutral is drive etc. Also i can't manually shift into 1.
What could have caused this? The trans worked just fine before the engine swap. The only things i've changed were the tailshaft mount---was shot so i replaced with a polyurethane one.
And, when i put the engine in, the converter was not totally back into the trans. So it got stuck against the flexplate. i had to slightly jack the engine away from the trans and then i was about the move the converter back and then install the converter bolts.
Hopefully the front pump is not jacked.
i guess basically i want to know that IF the front pump is jacked, then how much time/miles do have before trans failure? i do plan to take the entire drivetrain out soon because it needs to come out anyways due to certain issues---i.e., the strut rod brackets need to come out because it is interfering with the starter front brace. But i'm trying to plan things out time/schedule/money wise.
