You are doing WHAT to a 1968 SAAB?

Starting to get it back together. Brakes and fuel back in. Harness is routed. All harness wires will be concealed behind the original SAAB inner fenders except for a couple of little places where it will have to poke through. Makes for a nice wire tuck.

Also built a coolant reroute spacer. Miatas are known for overheating cylinder #4 on track cars so people route the coolant to the back of the head first and it flows out the front.

Working on wiring. I hate it. So I stopped.

Finished the coolant reroute. Tapped the oil pan for turbo drain. No reason to not reinstall it and start hooking things up. Passenger side is tight but enough room to fit everything. Plenty of room for the turbo on the driver's side. Going with a TD04 from a WRX.

Sweet build. Good wire tucks always amazing

This one is almost cheating. I have the stock Miata inner fenders that fit outside the inner SAAB fenders. Lay the harnesses between the fenders. Easy peasy. I had to drill two grommet locations today, one on the firewall and one in the passenger side near the throttle body. Need one more on the driver's side for the MAF but I may just run a temporary wire under the fender for testing. As soon as it runs on the stock ECU I'm switching to Megasquirt and that doesn't require a MAF at all as it runs off of MAP and TPS.

Reclocked my turbo so that it will fit and oil drain, inlet and outlet are pointing in directions that will work in the space available. Halfway though building my turbo manifold from scratch. Should be done this weekend. Pics soon.

I love it! I'm a euro car guy at heart, I'm am Audi/VW tech by trade, and love this build. Keep on keepin on:thumb::bow:

Turbo manifold and downpipe fabricated. Well, the downpipe is just tacked. Ran out of argon for my TIG.

Got the radiator, fans, intercooler mounted.
