You are doing WHAT to a 1968 SAAB?

What if you added the section to the front top and back of the whole fender thus bringing the whole thing out not just the section of the middle.

That way you could keep the body line and just make the whole thing more of a bubble.

I haven't touched it since welding in new patches and first coat of filler. Too hot, too many other things to do in summer.

You need a bigger bag of popcorn to carry you for another month. I haven't touched it all summer. Realistically, I will be back on this right after deer season mid-November. By then the daylight is gone and it's back to long hours in the shop because it will be too cold or dark to do anything outside.

Nice build, I love odd car/motor combinations. And big kudos for the bodywork. I have come to the realization that anything I build will either start out pretty or be ugly for its entire life, I just don't have the patience.

Thanks. This is the first vehicle that I have ever done bodywork on in my life so I was learning as I went.

From the PAD thread, new windshield and used back glass installed.

Finished fixing the tire rub problem that I started back in April. Some back photos for those who forgot where it left off.

Ready to go back to the paint shop. I lost the style line that I worked so hard to keep but it still looks good and flows well.

Well, I can say that I'm happier with the new body line than the original design. Some things happen for a reason. The flat sides of the door and behind the door flow better into the full radius of the fender flare with just the small accent of body line behind the flare.

Glad to see this didn't get mothballed...nice job on the 'fix'!

Sitting on it's own feet today. Don't mind the panel gaps. The fenders are just zip-tied on as they need to come off for more wiring. I installed all new door and truck seals, need to do the window wiper seals but need to get some trim adhesive.

Got the hood on. Pleased to see the turbo and intercooler charge pipes all cleared the hinged rod that connects the front tilt hood.
