Does this 'require' the axle being moved forward?
I'm sure this was asked at some point in the 1000 pages about it but why can't a kit be made/sold using just the brackets for the panhard bar instead of the entire crossmemeber?

I'm sure it's to account for the forces seen by that panhard bar. A simple, unsupported bracket would probably tear itself from the frame in no time.
Greg, the F150's in the 70's used a track bar fastened to a small bracket thats held by 2 long bolts thru the frame to mount it. These are on the 4x4's.

I have personally watched the Furd track bar bolts pull right through the frame offroad.

I can imagine that. That trac bar is trying to pull that side in a lot more than the leaf spring would normally when drooping. Without that thing being so beefy and bolting on to so much stuff, I could see that thing ripping or flexing the frame with some decent springs. If you have DW and your rig sees primarily streets and a little mud then I think it would be great. If you running hard trails and expecting good flex, then I could see some issues.
Its definately a badass peice though. I think it would slick/simple to make some kind of quick disconnect kit for it. Have it disconnect at the spring plate and have a way to swing it up and have it held up at the frame.Would be a lot easier to line up then the sway bar discos too.

My panhard/trac bar solved my death wobble issues. I had it bad and now it is all gone. Everything on the front axle was redone with new stuff and still had it bad. I know my caster is off by 4* but it works well now.

That crossmember and track bar are really nice looking, but I fixed my DW with 6800 airsoft BBs. 20 bucks and an hour worth of work.

How about putting orbit eyes in your leaf springs to help them swivel and lessen bind against the bar?
I have a '95 Cummins Dodge with 60" burb springs in the front on a '78 Furd 60. It's getting a track and a traction bar ASAP.
