You might want to think twice before wheeling without doors

Look under the driver's side slider

ive always thought about that it would suck rolling and coming down on a rock that is shaped just the right way and comes into your cab....ouch, a seat belt might actually kill you by holding you in your seat.

Wheeling without doors is stupid IMHO. MOST tube doors need more protection aswell. This is why I am building myown tube doors with plenty of protection but will still be able to see thru them. MOST tube doors attach to the factory door latch pin.

If you were to flop you truck and something like a rock hit the tube door that factory door latch pin is going to rip out of the sheet metal and slam into the guy sitting in the seat. My doors are going to latch to the cage and the stop will be tube. The door tube will have to break or bend a massive amount before they hit me.

Heck... even *with* doors it's dangerous enough at times. I got stabbed by a tree once, riding in the right seat of a friend's Bronco with the window rolled down. D'oh! (it's what I get for riding in a Bronc. I know...)

After the pics of your cage and this your gonna have a line of k5s in front of your place rdn2blazer:bow: Mine will be there too:wink1:

If that is a foot, there are other issues there. Is there a story with this pic? Is it actually a foot? Here is a pic of mine and it would take quite a bit to get a foot that far back under the slider even without the cage and tube doors.

Before you go thinking not wearing a seat belt when wheeling is a good idea, I HIGHLY suggest you read one of my old threads. Even with doors its still dangerous when you roll.:doah::doah::doah:

That jeep is a local guy, happened earlier this year. He got pretty badly bruised up, but lived to tell about it...

What about not having a rollcage? Most people put it far down on the mod list because it doesn't make the truck perform any better.

Here's one (I'm sure many of you have seen this one)

and another *this guy didn't survive but the video is not graphic*

Safety over function. I should've had a cage in my truck long before I did. You never know when you are going to flop, most of them happen when you don't expect to roll.
