zero rate bolt

My mistake. But the proper replacement is an allen head, correct?

Nope, when you go buy spring center pin bolts they are the same as original but usually 12" long made to "cut to fit".

Guess i lose then :doah:

Now that i think about it, tightening my center pin bolt required vice grips....so i guess it wasn't an allen key.

Way to keep me on my toes Scott :haha:

My head hurts from all the reading I have done on here. I know it is explained here somewhere, but I can't seem to find it today, I think I found it yesterday. Explain zero rate, I'm working on my 72 and want to know if I'm missing something that might help me out.

A zero rate is basically a block that bolts into the pack. But because of the way it is installed, it becomes like an "add a leaf" spring, but due to the design it adds Zero to teh spring rate, so its a zero rate add a leaf.

Also, due to it being bolted into the pack, it is safe for use in the front....where as traditional blocks are not.

Basically its a suspension lift of 1", and can be used to move the axle forward or backwards 1", or mounted in factory locaiton.
