We counter sunk the holes for the floor braces and used 1/4" stainless counter sunk bolts. The floor is modular not welded to the braces
Now the box can sit on the frame till paint and body time. It will be truck bed lined fully inside after paint
We ended up making the floor out of 2 pieces laid sideways to get the width we needed and welding them together. we matched patterns
The floor metal needed is more than 48" wide. Our metal supplier in our nearest town had only 4'x8' sheets of 3/16

Starting to take shape
Because it had been a wood floor. 1" oak, and we used 3/16 steel for the floor, we needed a spacer between floor and braces
some minor dings in places would be taken care of latter during real paint and body stage
