Oh let me count thy ways…=Why u no likie Furds???
Yeah, we realized that after the fact. Also learned that your supposed to remove the wiper cowl too. Those are way easier if you remove the intake. Ford designed them to be pulled that way.
Cool, thank you. We pulled the head and piston from the dead cylinder and I expected to see worse from zero compression. The piston is galled and the cylinder is not happy but I expected to see a hole in it or something. Not even sure what caused it. Maybe clogged injector making it run lean? I dont know.If you need any ford specific info I have access to fords tech site when I'm at work during the week.
I second this bro.No carnage pics? bah humbug....
The rings were definitely stuck. The cylinder isn’t the best, but I think we’re going to dingleberry hone it and piston slap it. The bearings look good and it ran fine for a 7 cylinder. With parts and gaskets I think we’ll be in it around 500 bucks. Those rings look collapsed AF. How did the cylinder fair to the scuffage?
That’s funny because my neighbor that does gen V swaps said “hey, a 6.2 will fit right in there!”Ls swap it.
