4.88s. It’s a highway cream puff! (I mean it was. Hasn’t made it past the end of the driveway in years )what the hell gears are in that? 3.50’s
I see no issue adding overdrive for a cruiser If that’s your goal Greg.

I thought about that too. And yeah, LKQ has them for pretty cheap. If your going to do a manual swap save some money and do a late model nv 3500, they can be had cheaper and are a nice trans to drive as the gears aren't as wide. Last one I bought was from your company and was only 600 if I remember right.
So a little digging revealed this is most likely a Springfield Remanufacturing engine. Sequel Corp was a division of Springfield that was a big thing in the 90's. The were known more for their performance engines. The digits up top show it's a 350 engine, but who knows what has been done to it.Is that a tag epoxied to the block? That's normally a calling card for a reman engine from a big remanufacturing outfit.

I found this thread where a guy did some research.

It does have 3 freeze plugs. I'm honestly confused myself on what this engine is. I'll know more once I find some more numbers on the block. It's caked in grime, so it will take some digging to find some numbers.Didn't you say you saw 3 freeze plugs on the side of the block? If so you've got some confusion going on. Or did I not read that post right?

That's an older engine thing. My 73 C10 with a 350 has the dipstick on the driver side. What does the balancer look like? 400 is quite different than any thing else. Also I think 400 has the dipstick on the drivers side.
Here's the weird thing. It has all the stuff under the cab for a second tank, but There is no tank under there. There's no switch on the dash, and no gas door on the LH side. Super weird. The last one I had that had been sitting forever I dropped both tanks and pressure washed them and blew out lines and had to do a fuel pump and clean the junk out of the carb. Gas fubars everything now days . Oh and my tank selector valve was stuck halfway so it was trying to pull from an empty tank on one side and a tank with shitty fuel on the other. My money is on fuel system issues!

Yeah every older V8 I've had has been on the LH side too. But I did not pay attention to the balancer. I'll have to take a peek tonight. That's an older engine thing. My 73 C10 with a 350 has the dipstick on the driver side.

Oh weird. I guess maybe that's what they did. Never knew that.My 77 was like that.
Had a manual selector valve on the pass side floor
The fill for the second tank was in the wheel well.
I deleted all of it and just have one tank.
Yeah very after thoughtie way of doing it.Oh weird. I guess maybe that's what they did. Never knew that.
Where at on the floor?Yeah very after thoughtie way of doing it.
Wondering if yours has the valve on the floor too.
