‘82 GMC “Junkyard JIMMY” {Build bash Rebuild}

ya, I thought I had a choke problem but found out its a spark issue. so I didnt make it but i heard saturday was nuts! then sunday was a ghost town???? nice pics!

Dood, You MUST come check it out! This area has everything you want & more.
You can really learn the limits of your rig & driving skills; or you can chill out & watch other people break stuff.
I came out unscathed. I took it easy for a few reasons-

1- I didn't get my (4.56:1)diff gears installed yet
2- No front locker
C- I was flying solo (save for the dune buggy following me around, not much help in a recovery situation)

I have more pics but I have to get them from other peoples cameras so it may take a little time.

My k5 is pretty similar, same axles, 4" lift, 35" KM2s, no locker, and 4.11 gears. Hopefully resolve those issues in the next few months though, and plan a trip down this summer.
Unlike the buggy... I would be a good anchor for recovery.
When I get it together, I'll let you know...

That would be awesome. I'll be looking forward to it.
I've never been to Pismo maybe we can organize a run out there too. I know of a few CK5er's that go out there.

Pismo is cool too! But you need some good horspower for that sand, or you can just wander the dunes back to Comp hill, and watch the races. I usually take my Quad for rippin around during the day, and cruize the Blaze around after, to check out some of the crazy machines that people bring out.

Either way sounds like a good time for the future.

pismo is fun, glamis is where it's at, but for nice weather and one the beach, pismo and it's town can really be a nice getaway. 4wd will get you anywhere you want out there, the dunes are tiny. Air down and you'll really be rockin.

I'd so be down to meet some other ck5ers too. If you come up this way, you should check out Hungry Valley too.

Dude you band on thoose axles and they are still fine:waytogo:

I had no idea what you were saying until I saw you were from Chula Vista.:pimp:
Thanks Mang, I work with what I got until I break it. Then I upgrade... :waytogo:

Yes sir, the same weekend. I have more but Ck just don't want me to load them.

Hey nice rig bud :) I was at TDS as well, just not in my truck lol. I wish we would have gone to where the obstacle course was... everywhere we went in my buddies rig was too simple. It was my first time there so I had NO IDEA where we were lol. Just a couple of pics of the rig we were in

Nice! Thanks for postin that up. The 4x4 training coarse is permanent so you can go out there anytime you want. I plan to go back in April when the rest of my gang can make it. All CK5ers are more than welcome to join us.

Here are a few more. I'm still working on it...
