Bronco PeakTrail

Here is another trail video. This is the 2nd trail, Bronco Peak.

As you can see it's an easy climb to the top.

Stay tuned for more...

Another good video. Makes me wish I could go out there and drive. You know, I never could convince my wife to get out and take pictures or videos on the trail. Oh well, they probably would have been so shaky and spastic that I wouldn't be able to post them anyway. Everyone would have gotten sea sick watching it. :haha:

I brought my own camera guy this trip.I have 1.5 hrs of footage. I cut out all the dizzy footage.

Stand by, the best is yet to come...

Wrenchin'

I went out & climbed under the JIMMY determined to find the mysterious noise I keep hearing.
I kicked around for a while & found a broken body mount.
Upon further inspection all the other body mounts' top bushings are all flat & the body rides hard on the frame save for the front driver.

Kool, that should be a quick easy fix.

The question is should I get stock replacements or go up an inch?

I'm thinking stock replacements would be like lifting it an inch, but a 1" body lift would be like raising it 2".

FYI, I have a 2.5" leaf spring lift, no blocks and roll on 35's.

Anybody have an opinion out there?:dunno:

Put in new body mounts, and add the 1" body lift. It is cheap, you gain an inch of tire clearance, you don't notice it like a tacky 2" or 3" body lift, and it makes them easier to work underneath.

I like to stay away from body lifts myself but I don't think 1" will be too bad. A lot of guys doing engine swaps will use a 1" body lift for air filter and distributor clearance and such. My wife's Jeep has a 3" body lift that the PO installed and I hate it. The fan shroud had to be removed and the radiator hoses were too short, the trans and t-case shifters are short enough that they ripped the boots up and the trans shifter eventually came out of the floor board in my wife's hand while she was going down the road and the gas filler neck is too short and it's hard to put gas in it without it it stopping the pump all the time. I know they make filler neck extensions but what a pain! Plus there's an ugly gap that you can clearly see between the body and frame, especially around the back bumper. Oh that stupid plastic thing that's on top of the front bumper of all Jeeps is jacked up at an angle and cracked too.

So 1" is the max I would want to go, like you said.

Thanks for the opinions, Anybody else have 2 cents I can borrow?

I'm leaning towards stock replacements, no body lift.

305sb w/ 650cfm Edelbrock Thunder, 700R4, NP208, 10bolts:eek1: w/ 4.56's /Detroit Locker rear/ Lockrite locker front,Superior axles & gears, on 35" BFG's & a 2.5" lift.

There I fixed it.:D

Looks like the majority says to go up an inch...

DIY4X has 1" pucks for $6 each. If I get some I will get 'em from there.
