‘83 K10 Shortbed Sally

Family Leftovers…
Haha! My 77 has never been registered since I’ve owned it.

Honestly it barely ever has left the yard but a few times to stretch its legs.

What size tires are on yours? Look like 31s
They are some off brand 32x11.50-15.
I just measured the body line today and it is sitting 2.5” higher in the back. The front springs do not look happy with the big block.

So a 2” lift in the front and a fresh set of 33s? :D
Haha, I really like the look of these 32’s on there. When I can afford it, I’ll probably get some bfg’s in the same size. I’ll have to park it in a lot so I can get a good side view and see how the rake looks or if I need to level it a little bit.

So now that I emptied out the bed of all the junk, this thing rides like a wagon. I know it has crappy stock type blue shocks that probably aren’t helping. Then the old hard tires. I tell you what, the coilovers and 40’s sure will spoil a guy.

Bigblock + old hard tires? Where's the smoke show?

Do you know if it has the heavy duty rear springs? I can't remember the RPO code but my C10 does so I took a couple leafs out of the rear. Lowered it about 1.5" and rides better. I can tell I wouldn't be able to haul quite as heavy but it was fine hauling the new 350 for it.

With the original full pack, I hauled a buddy's Cummins. :D Didn't hardly settle the springs.

Well, the whole drivetrain and suspension is out of the K5, so I have no idea honestly.
There is only 4 leaf’s and no overload. They look like they should ride nice honestly. I think my first attack will be the shocks. The ride feels bouncy like a low rider on its bump stops. The front springs are the stock negative arch 2- leafer.
