Prices will naturally go up a little starting the spring. Vehicles always sell more in the spring/summer.
Did a little price checking this morning when I got in the office. Looks like about $40 per side for the floor patch panels and the 2 floor support/braces. Also going to be in the market for a decent "good" welder, as I want to do this on my own. So I'm all ears as to what is a cost effective route to go...![]()
Nice!!!!!!
I broke out my 140 Hobart today. This is single pass, full penetration on 1/4" steel. I'm no where near a professional welder but this machine does a great job for the size. 0.035 Mig wire, machine turned wide open with mixed shielding gas.

I am but it's the only thing on the circuit. However, It is going through a 50ft commercial extension cord. I use this little welder ALL THE TIME on a 5k generator. That's basically why I bought it. I can take it anywhere.Nothing like seeing a real weld to show the capability these little welders have. The only serious limitation these little migs have is their very low duty cycle.
Are you running your machine on a 20 Amp circuit?
Tax money came in last Friday, so I asked the wife if it was OK if I use a few dollars and burn some metal with it....while we have it.
Just talked to him today. The plan is next Saturday.
Still negotiating.Bump. Any news?
