Yes, it's the plastic one. @500$k5 and I found them from a Tahoe application. Is it a plastic one? I have a 9 blade steel one from a later model something on the ‘83 shorted. Maybe a 6.5 diesel fan?

Are you sure the tweeters won't hit the dash pad? The design of that mounting system relies on having foam around the outside of the speaker that seals against the bottom of the dash pad. Otherwise, the speaker basically has no enclosure or separation.Picked up some new speakers to replace the dried out old ones. Factory stereo is getting refurbished by a guy in Texas. Should have that back in a few weeks.
They use a different center pin and bolt pattern compared to the gas engines.Does the metal 6.2 9 blade turn clock or counter clockwise?
I don’t expect them to hit. They measured same height as stock. I did the same thing on my other truck, and yeah it works but the sound probably isn’t audiophile quality. But hey, it’s something to listen to!Are you sure the tweeters won't hit the dash pad? What? Many of us have sub audiophile ears. My Chinese hearing aids don't have that kind of frequency response.
I know right? And everything works great now. Even found a brand new Metallica tape on Amazon for 7 bucks to test it out.It feels like a time warp. What could be fancier than auto-reverse cassette and 5-band EQ?

Yeah, I am amazed how well the am reception is on this thing. Comes in crystal clear. Yes, you push the bottom knob in to toggle between and the upper one toggles between the station and clock.Looks like it can seek tracks, too. Don't forget AM stereo. That shocked me the first time I saw "ST" light up on a car stereo on the AM band.
Do you push the tune knob in to switch between AM and FM? It's like trying to remember how to rotary-dial international calls.
