03 1500, Sold it.

Check the shift cable attachment to bracket at trans. Mine came off on Dmax, did all sorts of weird stuff

Truck has been running fine. Hit the 161k mark.

I have had an issue since I installed the cruise control switch. This was in Colorado. When the temp is below 40* outside, the cruise will not turn on. At 40* it will work until the wipers run. If they are on intermittent, you can set it between cycles then it shuts off. Above 50*, they work fine.

What the heck?

Iffy ground?

You should probably scrap it

Drive it till it dies.

Iffy ground?

Nothing to ground for the controller. 2 wires from the switch to the BCM. Only thing I can figure is, it's an aftermarket switch. May be wonky. I might try to got up a yard and find a GM. Super easy to swap.

Do the wires you added go near the wiper motor?
Wrap them in tinfoil.

The temp thing is weird, unless it’s a temp sensor issue.

My daughters 01 Cummins would go in and out of lockup on the torque converter, I wrapped the alternator wires with tinfoil and it has been fine for the last two years. Voltage from the alternator messed with the trans computer.

Obviously that totally may have nothing to do with your trouble but it’s a thought.

The wires were pre wired by gm. Just pulled the dash surround and the plug was sitting right there. Pulled the steering wheel and old switch. Plugged new one in and it worked. Mostly.

My Yukon had similar issues, turns out the turn signal stalk wears out, and the ground for it can have issues too.
