14 bolt disc brake e-brake caliper question

Or if you have not got the brackets, get a dual caliper bracket and use these. Yes, they will fit anyones dual caliper brackets.

I have them on my 14 bolt and they work real good, once they are adjusted you leave them alone. They use the mechanical brake lines just like drums, so you are not dependent on line pressure or lack of they do not leak because there is nothing to leak.

This all sounds like an expensive PITA that may or may not pay off. For my part I think I'll stick with drums for a while. I'm glad I came across this thread since I was all in on the discs.

Just a thought, but most states require a mechanical linkage parking brake. IE, not a line lock or any other form of hydro controlled system. From what I can gather, its A for incase the brakes fail the mechanical parking brake can be applied to slow the vehicle, and B line locks put alot of pressure on lines, and leaving them pressurized all night can possibly pop a line or blow a piston o-ring out. But, if you have no inspection, modify away.

This is the reason for the link I posted to TSM, it is stand alone and is mechanical it uses your standard parking brake cables from your drums depending on how you mount them.
