Have you tried a different fob replacement? I wonder if something got into it or it's just freaking out.

Acts the same with both FOB's. Local dealer said they had never seen the temp be an issue. But he also said they never tried heating a cab.

Update on the ignition issue. Had to go to the dealer. Switch was wonky. They have seen it before. Quoted me $850 with swap, one new fob and fob programming.
I told him that both fobs worked the morning I dropped it off.

Yeah new vehicle keys/fobs are nuts. It's no wonder dealers will only give you one when you buy a used vehicle.

I received one when I bought the truck. Stopped at a Dodge dealer in a whim. New fob, with new door key, programmed was $100.
So where is the third backup vehicle?

I am one to talk but I have 6 vehicles that I could be driving but only one I can drive, my 98 suburban.
It does have a bad fuel regulator and broken studs on the flange between the y pipe and the CAT, but I can't do what you did and start fixing it because all the others are already disabled.
97 Mercedes diesel has fuel problems, fuel isn't getting to the injectors.
84 diesel suburban lost reverse
2000 chevy van lost 3-4th and will not start without starter fluid.
89 suburban lost transmission completely.
2003 avalanche, registration is held up because one of t h e dealers in the chain failed to sign a document, it's in limbo until I can go in person 2 hours away and make him sign it.
So if the weather breaks I should get the van going, I have a rebuilt transmission waiting to get in and new upgraded injectors for the 5.7 vortec, then figure out the fuel issue in the Mercedes.
At which point I can open up the daily driver and fix it.
I have to go to work so I can't be out of a vehicle.
That's funny but I have 2, both with bad transmission, 700r4.
