Well, Saturday I've got someone coming down from Oakland area to look at the truck. He seems enthusiastic but I know nothing is for sure. I've found a couple nice C10s for around my price on CList lately, so he could easily jump on one of those too. One of which is in the bay area, so a lot closer to him.
I'm not budging from $20k. Of course it's listed for a smidge more but I want 20. The wife would rather see me get 20 also, and understands how hard it is to let it go. There is about 29k into it, with only my labor...like many of you

I've come to terms with it. I'll build something else down the road and it will be better than this truck. Always learning. The electrical alone on this truck is so much cleaner than the Blazer (my first project). I've actually gone back and fixed a lot of the Blazer wiring since working on the C10.
I really like driving this truck, the feeling is better than driving my '17 convertible mustang. The truck is so very much ME, all of it. Between the Blazer and C10, I've got
cool covered. But, like I said, I can do better later. The truck is not without it's faults and some of what I want to change will cost too much to make the changes. The parts I want to replace, well, I'll never get good money from them. And the streets around here are so bad, it's tough to enjoy the truck unless I'm on the highway. If I made another one, I'd start with the long bed again, but probably do a full aftermarket short bed chassis on airbags. I get my R&P steering, stiffer chassis, and smoother ride with higher payload. I'd also like to add hydro boost, cause the pedal pressure feels like it's a manual set up, but the brakes feel pretty good.
If I wasn't house searching, I'd probably sell the truck and dump the funds into what I just mentioned. But that would be a slow build and without a proper work area, it's just not feasible. Working in dirt and weeds sucks.
I've been enjoying the truck this last week. I've got the original blue glovebox door on, so the inside all matches. I've got the dashpad in place, not bolted down though. And I've got all the AC stuff hooked up. Feels good in there when it's 95* outside. I've also got the transmission temps under control with a new cooler mounted up front. Big sucker, handles the trans easily. The only problem with the truck now it one side has camber issues. I need thinner washers, which come with the truck and I can't seem to buy new. So it has this terrible humm sound driving down the road, like I'm running old mud terrain tires or something. I don't know if the sound and camber are related, I just know they are both a problem.
