1968 c30 "Papa Smurf" prerunner build. links, beams, and turbo

I thought you were going to have some bars from the engine cage going down to the frame around the beam mounts. Right where your steering support is, I thought a bar was going there to help strength the mount so the frame doesnt get ripped off.

correct.

engine cage is not complete yet. actually none of the chassis is. Still lots of work left to do.

Some more progress. Motor parts are all in so can get the little 4.8 back together soon. Been working on trying to finish the chassis fab work up to get I ready for final assembly. Got removable core support mounts all built. Removable glass fenders mounted. Finish welded and fitted radiator and intercooler. Finish welded what I had for a front engine cage and also strarted adding a few more pieces.

Looks good man but heads up you might need a more rigid fender mount, we did similar mounts on the race truck and the vibration broke the mounts off.

can I swing by and rub myself up against something?
