1968 c30 "Papa Smurf" prerunner build. links, beams, and turbo

Had to take a break from the truck for a bit to get the shop ready for winter. I spent last year working in uninsulated and unheated shop, and there is no way im doing that again. So bit the bullet and bought insulation for the shop. Hoping to have it all by the weekend so i can resume work on the truck next week.

Had to move the truck over to the other side of the shop tonight so i can finish up the ceiling. Then onto the walls.

TOP TIP:

Don't fall off the ladder....

Need a smoke machine and disco ball if you're going that far.

Might want to think about running some OSB or plywood around the bottom 8' to help keep sparks out of paper on the insulation....Same goes for behind the stove, but use some kinda tin or alum.

Is the truck done yet?:D

I've seen guys use alum or tin roof panels as wainscoting. Helps deflect the sparks and not burn or get little black stains like wood.

Finished drawing these up on my lunch tonight. Steel should be here tomorrow for them.
3/8ths tabs for my radiator mount. Recessed bolt and nut. Bolt head tab designed to need no socket. Nut tab has counter bore big enough for 9/16th socket to fit. Needing only one socket to take bolts off....cause a simple plate tab just isnt good enough :D
