1968 c30 "Papa Smurf" prerunner build. links, beams, and turbo

Papa smurf works amazing.

I have ridden in my fair share of beamed rigs like his, and just out of his garage first time, this thing rides better than almost all the others I have been in. I literally got in it and was completely comfortable with every choice he made in it.

He thrashed on this thing for so long and it just works so well. Better than he thought i am sure.

Its giving me dirty thoughts about what I would like to do in the future.

do you think its nose heavy?
It might be. But more then that my biggest problem with pitching the front end is the rear end being 5"s too high right now. Once i am able to establish ride height and do some shock tuning I will see how balanced it is and may have to play with trying to move some weight.

Looked good! Way to represent the beams! Looked good enough to have fun, how's the motor feel? Do you think it's underpowered or good enough for a non boost kind of person?

Has plenty of motor. Momentum is key with a beamed truck so holding speed is no issue. It just depends on how fast you want to get to speed. And I want faster. This things gonna be really fun with boost.

Rebound looks to be too fast. Bypasses on the front would help the stuffing issue also.
Perhaps. I liked how fast it rebounded with how gnarly the whoops were this weekend. I'll get started on shock tuning as soon as I can get ride height set properly. As there is no sense to tuning shocks to an improper ride height. I'm waiting on new springs to show up currently.
