Slow process of putting it back together.
Good luck with the injury. Maybe you can get in the garage sooner that getting back to work.

We’ll see. I have a hole in my leg (upper right thigh) from a pimple that went haywire... I won’t derail but it’s nasty and hopefully heals properly. I’d post a pic but.... ha

My father-in-law just went thru the exact same thing, but closer to the groin. Had to have minor surgery but he wasn't down long.

New cab mounts installed.
Thankfully the front did not have that little tact weld. Fairly easy but a bit hard to start as there were no directions. But it’s done and the body line is better lined up with the bed.

Welp, I have to move the cross member up a bit thankfully there are already holes in the frame. But the engine and tranny are in.
It was a struggle to get those damn motor mount bolts lined up. Was not fun nor easy.

maybe this is a good time to upgrade to one of those fancy tubular transmission cross members?

Motor mounts with no front end are cake. Do it with a full front end on 37’s.

Personally, tubular crossmembers are cool but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

I did read that it helps to remove the perches and bolt those to the motor mounts and install the engine that way. I opted for the other route and well, next time I’m attaching the perches first.

The tubular cross members aren’t much $ and I’m inclined to just order one. Jegs has a nice affordable one.

I would do it if you can't fab one yourself.

I’m thinking inner and outer fenders and core support go on next. Remove that heater/ac box. I hate the look and bulkyness of them.

After having read through a few of your posts i figured id search a build, and here we are.. nice rig!

I got mine from trans adapt. It was 100 bucks on amazon and i had to drill my own holes for it, but it fit not too bad. It did drop my trans down an inch or so i beleive.

Since these cross members have no provisions for E brake cable, I think I will just delete it and worry later.

I’ll figure taking it out unless anyone has some tips?
