1970 Chevelle Malibu "400" Clone

Spun the crank, definitely internal balanced, going to need more Mallory. Added 2) 1/2" pieces in the first and second counter weight (already a 1" piece in the first). Going to add one more in the 3rd. Bob weight is pretty light compared to the weights of the rest of the balance jobs in his pile of ones he has done.

It is actually my second Weiand BBC tunnel ram. The other is a dual carb oval port, this one is a dominator rectangle port.

Did they ever get the patent? :waytogo:

Did someone tap that for a dominator and a 4150? Or did it come that way? You have quite the intake collection.

I heard they were hoping it would come though this year! Fingers Crossed!

Someone tapped it for a 4150. It needs repaired to run, but it would be better with a dual 4 barrel top. I will keep my eyes peeled, even though it will likely just hang on the wall.

Yeah, I've never seen someone tap an interrupted thread before like that, very strange. I'm not even sure how they did that without breaking a tap to be honest, do the threads even work?

I've converted intakes to different bolt patterns by threading aluminum threaded rod in the hole below flush, then TIG welding it, then resurfacing it. Then you can drill and tap the new pattern.

the threads are F---ed. I was just going to fill the 4150 holes with rod then weld and retap

Where? It is an engine turned side cover if that is what you are asking.
