1972 Cheyenne Super K20- -LQ4/NV4500

Ah, I just saw what looked to be new hoses heading downward. It will be nice for you when you get it working!
Have you gotten one of these old systems running before? I haven't yet. I put an evaporator for a square truck in my '70. That gave me an orifice tube system which worked good until the evaporator sprung a leak.
:doah:
I just am wondering if there are problems getting the POA valve system working, so I will still be watching!

No, I’ve never messed with one. I’d do vintage air when I do it.

Ahh. I pulled Vintage Air out of my '70 since the performance in winter and rainy summer nights was horrible. It was strictly a hot summer system in my opinion. But maybe they have caught up with factory systems since 2005.

I guess I haven’t done a lot of research on the topic but never heard that before. Maybe hooking the factory system up isn’t a bad idea. I’ll have to look into it more. Thanks

Lots of people praise the aftermarket systems, but I had problems keeping the windows from fogging up during summer thunderstorms, and winter was horrible. Not as much heat as a factory system, and I would get ice on the inside of the side windows when the temperature got below 15*, single digit temperatures were bad. Defrost would hurt heater output a lot, even when the thermostat for the compressor was adjusted all the way down. Then I would have to readjust it for summer. Back when I had the system, I hadn't found anyone posting up who used theirs in that wide of condition range.
I would be glad to tell you more, or about what I have done, if you would like.
I don't want to clutter your thread more than I have already.

Attempted to change the master and re bleed system. Can not get anywhere. Parts to NV4500 swap are being ordered
