1975 k5 expedition build

Ok so I'm starting to sort out and route the wiring. I have a wire for a third brake light which the blazers don't have. I can't think of a reason right now to hold on to it, but I figure I'd ask y'all. Any reason I might want to keep that wire in the mix? Also anyone have any thoughts about what else I should try to get done with the new wiring?

This may be unrelated, but those Milwaukee lights are AWESOME!

Well its coming onto 2 years since my last update. Lots of new parts have been ordered. Currently have ord front springs, new front shocks, crossover, high steer, assist, front yukon locker with 30 spline, rcv axle shafts to match and 30 spline outers, yukon locking hubs to match the 30 spline rcv outer axles. Dual battery set up.
Also redid the tbi with rv morse upgrades, including throttle body spacer, new throttle body, power bowl, and adjustable fpr. Also got a new engine harness and had my ecu double checked and deleted for emissions.
Upgraded to a higher amp alternator and learned that alternators between trucks and vans and not the same, mounting holes are different. So went and found proper engine accessory mounts.
Also considering doing the windstar fan upgrade since im in process of re wiring everything.
Also rebuilding a manual steering column swap. Want to upgrade to all functions to work off the column. Ie., wipers cruise control, ect. Still looking on info to adapt newer truck steering column to older truck electronics.
Currently just started the ord "fush" upgrade. Trying to figure out my new front shock mounts. I bought ord springs with specs for 4 inch lift and moving the front axle 1.5 inches forward. Trying to figure out where to put the new shock towers.
Once i have them placed, im going to clean and paint the front half of the frame so my new leaf springs dont look out of place under this turd.

Getting further. Got the frame cleaned and painted. Installed new gear box thats ported for hydraulic assist. Installed new larger shackle hangers and shackles, new offroad design leaf springs, new bushings, and grease able hardware.
1 step forward and 2 steps back though. The passenger rear shackle and hardware hit the exhaust flange. Will now have to redo exhuast. I have some jba headers that are basically mid length headers im gonna throw on and see how they fit. However if im gonna have to redo the exhaust im gonna wait till i clock the tcase and make sure the driveshaft doesnt interfere with anything.
Now to finish the front axle and get that under the truck and get the steering set up.

So I i have the axle under blazer and am trying to figure out shocks. Trying to get the most travel out of these ord springs. When i try to flex it out with a floor jack i dont get much before it starts lifting the frame off jack stands. It almost looks as if the shackle is binding. Im not very experienced in this so looking for some guidance. First pic is passenger side with axle hanging. Shackles are pointed forward a bit. 2nd photo is passenger with me lifting the axle till the frame lifts off the stand. Third is driver side with the passenger lifted. Any help would be appreciated.
Also how much travel are those of you with ord springs getting up front?

Also to add to replacing parts, I found passenger side spindle threads were completely cross threaded somehow. I went and bought a new one from ORD as wellnas the bearing kit, not realizing the spindle came with that. So being i have a spare kit Im going to replace the bearing on the other side. New ball joints, new spindle studs and nuts, as well as upgrading the yoke to 1350 while doing the new gears.
