1977 K10 Build Thread

ok, just like i thought, same MC as i have used. swap line placement front to back. just get the right adapter if needed.

the resovoirs (sp) are in different locations in a 1-ton mc to a 1/2 ton, they have to be swapped.

thanks. it really needs alot of work for me to even get it inspected. i gotta see whats wrong with my left tail light, i gotta get a pump for my windshield washer bottle & install it and the bottle, i gotta put my new 6" lift on, get a set of marker lights, and finish the brake work

still needing a set of amber marker light, preferably with the chrome trim. also, does anyone have a wiring diagram for the horn and the windshield washer pump motor? it seems they were "deleted" by the previous owner and i need them for inspection!

On my '79, the wire that goes to the horn is a blueish-green color. Only one wire. Located on the drivers side just behind the grille. The wire runs off of the wire loom that goes to the headlights etc. Should run along the drivers fender area.

soon i hope. i got some motivation from the po's brother. i seen his 76 K10 and it made me really want to get mine inspected and drivable. i put 6" superlift front springs on recently and im going to start on the rear 6" superlift springs when the weathers decent. i ordered some parts from ruff stuff and ord over the winter which are waiting to go on. i got 10 rancho shocks for $100 that was off of a show truck and im looking at doing my exhaust before i get it inspected. i got marker lights finally eventhough they aren't the amber lenses like id wanted. ive gotta wire up the windshield washer pump motor and the horn still and its good to go for inspection.. minus the rear driveshaft. im also picking up a 350 that needs rebuilt, a 10 spline 465, and a 205 with an sye kit from the po's brother for $10 and a 4" block lift for his 76 K10

quick question, is there anyway i can tell if my heads are square port or round port without removing the exhaust manifold to look? the reason i ask is cause i just bought a set of headers and i need to know which gaskets to get but the trucks in my neighbors driveway and i can't leave it sit there too much longer
