1977 K5 "Sparty On"

Received the first of 2 packages today, got my nitrous gauge & stretch cord gif the go switch on the steering wheel.....

One more package arriving tomorrow will help me finish off the steering.....

Got the orbital fittings in the mail yesterday! Surplus Center is the best place to buy anything you need for hydraulics. 4 fittings were $16 & shipping was $11, so for $27 to my door I had all the fitting needed. Tractor Supply wanted $9.99 a fitting there & they would have to order them because they don't carry 3 "8Mx3/8 swivel" @ a time.

So when doing full hydro for future reference & knowledge sharing don't get all 90 degree bent ones.... The pump & return line ones are ok to use because the barb end is shorter than the pump swivel. BUT when ya try to put 2 swivel ends on the right & left pressure hoses.....well they kinda hit each other......EPIC! So I ended up grinding the one flat on the back side to make them work, but 45's would have worked a lot better & causes way less headaches!

As you can see the amount of grinding needed to get the other fitting on....

Also started fittiling with the steering wheel, I need to get the wires run from the glove box area over to the steering column so I can connect them....

How close are your tires going to be to those hoses when you're turned to the right?
We'll have to wait & see I guess... They can go over farther if need by a little, but I don't think it'll be an issue. There run where the old flat part of the inner fender would connect to the front core support.

Ran the nitrous line today......

Wish the ends were pre done, could have really cut about 2ft out & been good.
Then this happened.....lol

Figured it was time to buy one for my house & be able to do small things & if I needed a bigger one just run out to dads & finish it up out there on the big miller!

Bought this last summer in prep of getting some type of welder @ the Re-Store for $25 & it even came w/ some breakers already.

This is what it's gonna be replacing.....lol

Returned the HF welder today & picked up a cart & a pair of welding gloves. Now just need to get the the AirGas store to fill up my Argon tank or get a bigger one.......

Here's my regulator setup I'm gonna run for the nitrous fuel pump & regular fuel pump. Both gonna be a return style keep everything cool & not dead head the pumps...

Was able to get then tig stand together today. It's pretty sturdy for being a HF $29.99 special. Just need to go get my Argon tank switched out & changed.....
