1977 K5 "Sparty On"

Looks good, how do you like the poly seats? I'm looking for a cheap stop gap seat ...

I like it, it was the only way I could get the harness to work. It wouldn't fit over the regular seat. I need to make a hoop behind it though so the seat belt isn't so long... Also what is a "Stop Gap Seat"?

Took a cutoff wheel thickness off the tailgate hinge & there we have it!!!!

Just waiting for a delivery coming Thursday w/ the rest of the hardware for it. Then paint it & finish install!

Decal to go back on the tailgate.....it'll be 6yrs Thursday I lost one of my best friends due to self infliction. Not a day go's by I don't think of him & actually named my first son after him.

Sorry to hear your loss. That's the hardest way to lose someone. I have lost a few friends and my grandpa to suicide and my daughter (7th grader) just lost a classmate less than a month ago.

Was able to get the bedside brackets mounted before work this morning. After 39yrs the threads were a little rusty so they had to be cleaned first. Should be able to get the rest done tonight hopefully!

Ya it was definitely taken back by the news @ 5am. I was over @ his house 2 days before it happened helping him finish up his Jeep for the Drummond Island Crawl competition....

Got the blazer pushed out yesterday, still need to run the return line to the fuel cell. But it's a lot easier when the big tires are on it to work under it. Wyatt helped momma steering it out while Garrett provided cover fire if needed w/ his lever action squirt gun!!! lol

Beautiful family man!
I dig your dash layout, hows that winters work for ya up there?

Thank you! I like the new location a lot better than where it was before. It was hard to grab when I had the harness completely on....just a touch out of reach. Now it's right where it needs to be w/o and hassle!

Really glad I decided to read your thread truck looks and sounds awesome and seems like you have alot of fun with it. Any events coming up I'd definitely like to see this in action?

I have to finish the return line from the regulator to the fuel cell first. There's a play bog this weekend but don't think it'll be done in time. Had some DD vehicle issues yesterday w/ mine and the wife's vehicles. Also looking to get back into a set of boggers :thumb: Also need to paint the tailgate and doors....

Small update, got the line lock bracket marked and holes punched out. Now just need to get the rest of it cut out and installed....

Believe I seen him at the dirt drags I went to last year. They had a mud bog on the other side he was there and Aaron Taylor was there with his and Blake had his blue chevy as well. Does hillbilly deluxe race in the type of races you do?

Well went to install today & knew I had to grind a little more on the calipers......well needless to say they weren't the right backspacing. More than I thought, I thought they were 3" but really are 5" Backs went on ok w/ little trimming but fronts not so much!
