1977 K5 "Sparty On"

What's the plan with the vinyl? I read the whole thread but may have overlooked the plan for it.

Did a little shopping yesterday.....
Got the rest of my snaps I needed from Menards...

Then stopped @ Harbor Freight and bought a fuel/tranny line disconnect tool for the DD's....

And finally while walking through Sam's Club I came upon this little gem for $29.91 on sale from $80...... We'll see how well it work!

Got the idea from a guy on another site and I'm grad he shared it. I don't run a speedo anymore just a tach, so I have a hole in the back of the tcase where it plugged in. He said to get a rubber freeze plug and take out all the guys from the old speedo then install one of those.....worked like a charm!!!

Well here it is, Sparty On in all her not so good glory.....:angry1: Decided I was gonna run high range 2nd gear.....never got about 2500rpm's. Ran the same time last year in low range and I even got stuck in the corner for 4 seconds! Very disappointed in myself for that!

Gotta click on video to watch it, wont let ya play it from here....

Well here's the dash cam video......lol

Clicked the start button on my phone.....

IT SHOULD BE TAPING NOW....

Here's the click to spot the video....

Some how it got switched from video to picture...starting line & Finish like pics.....lol

With some updates coming this winter I'm gonna need to relocate the battery, so I picked up a battery box & another kill switch. I'll mount the switch on the outside of the box in the open area. The box will be behind the drivers seat out of the way. The existing I'll switch will now become kill all in an emergency......

You should NOT mount your shoulder harness to your floor. IT CAN BREAK YOUR BACK. The compression is down instead of forward.

Collected another piece last night, needed a passenger side kingpin cap and spring. For when I remove the crossover setup..... Gonna be ordering my steering column and mounting bracket for the orbital Monday. Gonna need another HP line and fittings.

Second to last piece of the puzzle for steering, now all I need is 2 more lines and fittings......
This is also a direct replacement for the steering shaft as well, which is nice....
