1977 K5 "Sparty On"

Decided to just go back to the regular regulator on the carb side & switch the return to the nitrous side. If was gonna cost $100 for another return style & 1/2 aluminum tubing. If it doesn't work after this year I'll go that route though.....

Got it all figured out now, just. We'd to run another feed line to the nitrous regulator. Got one of my 2 boxes from summit the other day as well......new pump and nitrous fittings. That box was suppose to have the lines as well but they only had one in stock. The 2nd box will be here Monday....

Finally got everything buttoned up but the power steering reservoir. I'd like to get a different one & mount if closer to the pump. Ended up changing the nitrous lines one last time....

Need to finish routing the nitrous fuel feed line....

Ran the return line that has a cooler connected to it as well...

Started tearing into the seat trying to figure out how to install the other racing seat. Is it common to have a 1.5" difference between the back of the seat mount to the front? The bracket is only 13" long & to have 1.5" increase in that short of length makes the drivers seat damn near @ a 45 degree angle. Also someone added another 1.5" spacers to get more height to the seat....

Seat mount.....

Spacers....

It runs the full length from drivers side to passenger....

Got the fitting to run the other port of the fuel cell today for the nitrous....

Also got the race seat adapter done the passenger side is still also adjustable. Damn slider bolt holes were 1/4 spaced out than the seat.....so I had to put 2 pieces of channel together.....

Added a 3/4" spacer to the back of the drivers seat & it made it level w/ the passenger side now. Also doesn't feel like I'm laying in the back seat anymore when I drive....

Got the fuel outlet off the fuel cell put together this morning, now just need to build a fuel pump bracket. Mount the pump & run the lines....

Well dug into the boggers last night & got one done almost. Just need to go back & clean a couple lugs up....

The HF tool did very well @ taking the smaller lugs off, had to sharpen it about 3/4 the way through but that wasn't a big deal. Ended up taking about 1-1.5hrs total....

First couple were live & learn....hit the cords on the first one but not to deep...

Final'ish product....

Gonna weigh it when I'm done to see how much weight got cut off...

And this is how we mount a 17/40-16.5 that has been off the bead & sitting flat for awhile......lol
Ratcher strap, starter fluid, lighter, & soapy water!
