1979 K30 Pile of Hillbilly Crap.

I still plan on the tunnel ram just waiting on a cheap one and need a second mixer/evaporator. I also want to see the power difference anyway. That reminds me I need to look at ebay. I got the special clutch fork ball and I am planning on getting it in tomorrow. Need to find a resevor for the clutch master cylinder. Can't buy them new.

Well I finally got it in.

The crossmember only has about .080 clearance on the rear tube

Here she is sitting at home waiting for the rest of the connections

He she is after I got it running. Need to do some tuning and finish the clutch master cylinder install but I am getting closer.

Not sure if you know this or not, but your power steering pump has a hard on.

Looks good :waytogo:

What headers are those ? Any clearance issues with them ?

Cheap flowtechs. The flange likes to rub on the drive shaft. I am going to do a band clamp on the pipes to lessen leaks and increase clearance. They do however go right on with the engine in the mounts.

I really wish I had a power washer where we did the work. The engine compartment needs a bath.

Cool, one of my manifolds is cracked a bit and I would like to go with headers, but, most BB headers are $$$, I do remember seeing those on summit for a reasonable price. I'm not worried about the flanges, anymore I just cut them off and go to a V band setup......soo much easier and no leaks to worry about.

Master cylinder in, modifying the pedal. WOW that spring is a man killer.

List for the week
Finish clutch
High steer with ballistic arms
Hydralic assist
Dyno the 454

I have about 16 hours this week to get it done.
Playing on the river on Sunday.

Clutch done, thought it was in wrong but it must just need some braking in. Drove it a little after putting in the used driveshaft. Will smoke the 40s pretty good. Hoping to dyno on friday.
