Oh... ok didn't realize it was an actual "tow-truck"... I thought he just meant tow rig...

I think he means the wheel lift or sling.
hes right.. i should have been more specific..

the pics will come once i get it here. the engine is a replaced gm goodwrench engine with 30,000 miles on it. runs strong, 3 speed tranny, pto, etc .. price tooo low to list..

 well i didnt go to work today, drove the truck today, and got it to my dads house, looked at it. the front axle is not a d60 its a d44.. and i looked at the rearend, its a dually.. weird?? oh well it didnt bothered me so i'll keep it as a plow truck. needs new rear driveshaft, and yoke, the po drove it for a while when the u joint were bad. now rear shaft and yoke is bad. i should have the shaft but the yoke i dont. frame is in a ok shape. im glad with the truck for only 300 bucks. heres the pics.

you're right it looks like it was a fleetside long bed.

BTW... it looks like a POS... I think you might have to rattle can that mofo. ;)

"Painted Rear Step Bumper"

Doesn't sound like it started it's life as a wrecker, it just made some bad decisions that led it into that lifestyle. :p:

bingo. and it looks like the frame is a 3/4 ton. am going to my dads now to have a look at it again.. i aint complaining for a cheap truck that runs great! and maybe future parts truck...

That truck has been converted to a dually, somebody swapped the rear end. I'd check to be sure the ratios are the same front and rear before I use the 4wd. Still a hell of a deal though.

heres the update.. yes its been converted to dually some 50 k miles ago i found out from the owner today. looks like a crappy job but all of these years of hard work so it holds up well. and i did ask abt the gear ratio he keeps saying im not sure so ill check it tmrw while im working on taking out the rear driveshaft, and yoke then its checking out fluids and etc. so ill get the rear n front cover off to replace oil, and ill check it to be sure. im still one happy kid tho:D
