6" lift. 3/4 ton axles.
Thinking bout it some more, I think the answer is just to use jumper cables from one battery to the primary when needed. One thing I am gonna do is switch my winch and a few other things to the secondary so that only the starter and a few other things get power from the main. That should help keep it isolated and full power for when needed.

Originally I wanted to keep it as an untouched battery that would just be full at all times to assist in starting but I don't think it's gonna necessarily work that way. So what I'm thinking now is to change all the extra over to number 2 and leave number one as the main only for starting battery

Motor homes and boats have an auxiliary start system. A switch activates a solenoid that connects the two batteries so if one is low it can draw power from the other one.

What are you trying to accomplish with the second battery?

Hmmm. See the setup I got was meant for a boat so I wonder if it will back feed power from one to the other as needed. Maybe ill have to look it up again and see what it says

Well I'm putting it up for sale today. Need to sell it so I can pay to move me and the wife back to my moms in Nebraska.

At least I got a few wheeling trips in.

Saw it listed on CL a few weeks ago and was wondering what the deal was. Goodluck with the sale.

Originally I was just listing it for shiggles but the plan was to take it with us, but plans change and now I need it gone to pay for the move its self.

Copy. We have plenty of these out here to start over with, but they're a bit rustier.

They weren't for sale. They were bought by me lol. And no they were bolted to the truck when I sold it.

You want anything yet? There is a 1973 3/4 minus engine, tranny, transfer case for $300 in Brainard.

Actually yes I am shopping. But not for a 4x4.
I'm looking for a 71-72 c10 or mid to late 60s bel air.
Or any number of other hot rod projects that would tickle my pickle. Gonna stay away from off-road stuff for a bit and focus on a street project.
My uncle has a 1950 gasser style pickup on nitro meth an a 700hp 66 Chevelle ss so I want to put something together where I can go to the track/ shows with him.
