Shifter on the can.
Actually in my studies I found the original ammo can was too tall. So I emptied one of my small ones and it worked perfectly. So that's set up

Also got the sliders finished. Its So smooth now that it's all squared up

On the front driveshaft. Finally put it on with the crossmember that's on there. Had forgot it was a cv and not a standard ujoint so it pushes forward enough to work. But there's gonna be some "self clearancing" when I drive. Might pull the member down to grind it sometime soon.

Unfortunately it looks like I'm putting the terdburger up for sale.
Rent was due 5 days ago and my work still hasn't given me any of my pay for may. So it looks like its to do the responsible thing.

I have a new build idea planned that will be interesting. When money comes back.

Long story. No cash flow due to mismanagement. I might not be able to go on Saturday if I don't get paid. But it's a family business so I can't leave.

damn that's too bad dude, nearly been to that point myself though, hope the situation works itself out....interested in selling those seats by chance though?

Not really. I can't really part it out. Either it sells as a package or worse case I keep it.

Sometime the truck Hates me lol

So the tranny has been leaking badly. Figured out the pan that came with it was tweaked so it wouldn't seal very well.
Ordered a cheap summit aluminum pan. Tried putting it on today and realized the pan I got is for a shallow pan but the one I had before was the deep version. So now I need to find a shallow pan pickup tube which apparently is harder to find.

Spent a little time working on some things. Hoping to take it wheeling in the next week or so.

Got the tube doors off. (they're ugly anyway).

Also washed the truck for the first time since I bought it.
Worked on hooking up the th400 kickdown cable. Didn't have a factory mount for the 350 so I had to get one from pepboys and set it up to work. Of course in my luck. The wire connection that goes to the throttle lever was to short. Would have had the thing down shifting at like 30% throttle. So I used some stainless safety wire I had and rigged something up. Still need to run the electrical connection to a power source and to the tranny.
Also put in new low beam headlights. Since one was burned out and the other not much better. I git some silverstar headlights. All of this made possible by the $100 rebate card I got from pepboys.

Also took the truck for a quick drive around the 'hood. all went well. Threw it in 4wd and I def need to grind that puppy down or figure something out. But other than that all went good. Brakes work great and tranny shifts solid and right on cue with the line on the modulator.

it's sounding more and more like the gauge is bad. I'll send you a new one.
hey JJ.
can i send you this gauge and have you test it?

i just dumped another 10 gallons in this thing so at the very very least. it should be showing me 1/4-1/3. took the truck for a drive on flat ground and it never did show anything other then E...
i've checked my ground and checked all my wiring. i dont know where else to look. i know its gettin power, its grounded and its getting the signal from the sender cuz i'm getting it at both ends of the wire.

thanks!!normally he sports a mohawk in the summer but it was getting warm so i just shaved him down to bald and i'm letting grow back in slowly. hes a good old boy. loves like nothing else. name's bocephus.

pics coming once they upload. i took the truck to work today on my lunch break. that was pretty fun.
after everyone left i used the forklift to play around. thing is pretty stable. i didnt want to lift too far without someone to keep an eye on how stable it was. but i was pretty impressed. then i made a little bump outta some tires and a pallet. enough to amuse me for a bit. falling in love again.
