Everything I do to my truck is planned to minimize truck down time. That way it stays driveable more often and therefore much more enjoyable. Keep that in mind and just enjoy your truck :waytogo:

Yes I agree with everyone, but my truck needed to much work to do a little here and there.

I'm not lacking motivation just time to get it done. :frown1:

Ah you'll get it all done. You've already taken the engine out and rode it like a wild horse. Now you have to finish it up in style. :D

There's such a thing as UP time? :doah:

I have a 82 2wd frame, I don't see it listed in your specs.

I'm having a welder come over today to fill in the holes so I will have a clean fresh start on where I can mount these new brackets.

Got the frame all welded up, guy seemed to do a good job. I was more then please with the results

looks good .

just be ready for little harder drilling . get good bits and it will be fine. and not to fast on drill speed.

I got a half inch hammer drill that works part of the time (My Dad had a voltage drop on to long of a extension cord) and brand new drill bits.

As long as the drill keeps up I should be good to go.

Didn't get a lot done today but got something... Been battling a sinus infection, and today I mowed the lawn. :doah:

I use cobalt bits to drill holes in my frame. I think they are DeWalt brand. They work good as long as you go as slow as possible.

I'm not sure what bits I have but they are in a big set in a metal case.

I started doing more grinding today and felt the grinder doing weird things... I pulled it away, and shut it off to inspect. The base of the grinders screws were coming out and the wheel was wobbling a quarter of a inch. :eek1:

I tossed it into the trash can, didn't want that harbor freight death trap anymore...

In other news, having the frame welded up gave me the motivation and security to secure the 4wd hangers to the frame properly without fear.

Tomorrow the 4wd hangers go on.

only about 20 mins of grinding left and it's on like donkey kong. :woot:

Also I want to add, I feel like Ryoken, I'm sanding down the factory blemishes on the frame for a smooth feel and look. :doah:

If this truck doesn't look amazing when I'm done then I either suck or I did something horribly wrong...
