Why is that? It definitely has work done to it, sure might be a little steep but that is the only thing that would turn me away.

Also gave me a great idea on the swaybar.

That just seems really high. I'm sure things are more expensive in your area. The only way he could get that much around here is with no rust (like it already is) and a great shiny paint job (which it doesn't have). I'm sure he has $9,500 in it.

Very true, for around 4 or 5k you can get a clean k5.

I was able to change my body mounts out with hand tools, no lubrication crawling on the ground with a floor jack in 30 mins with one that was spinning with no pressure added to it.

I sent him a text asking more information about it knowing I wasn't a serious buyer, he replied saying he was a 15 year fabricator and did it himself.

I was thinking $9500 didn't seem that bad. With how clean the metal looks and all the parts I see even if I did it my self it would be way over 9500.

I messed with the truck some, I now have 5/8 to 3/4 of clearance to the firewall pinch weld, will this be ok? I think I should be fine but want to hear everyone's voice.

Also in the process, I chipped the paint a little. Maybe I can sand it a little and feather in some of the left over paint I had mixed in a can. Do you think this is the best bet Wade?

Get a brush, dab just enough to cover the exsposed area. Let that dry. Do the same with the clear. Make a list of tuch ups that need to be done, do a bunch at once. Less waisted paint material to be thrown away.

My main concern is frame flex, I think the engine rocking over when revved will be fine.

I wouldn't be shocked to see it get kissed on a hard landing or something. But I would also bet that you will never get it to land that hard. I think you are good to go.

And if I do that's why I have air bumps. Next time the engine is out I want to do a little hammering to smooth out the curve a little and maybe get a little more.

This is a oddball question for Chris at Ord.. How much travel does the Ord kit cycle? I read somewhere that even though another kit had 16 inch travel coil covers it cycles more? My brain tells me that is impossible the coil over wouldn't allow that.

Depends on where you measure it. Right at the shock, 16 is the limit. But if you measure at the WMS it will be longer with one side stuffed, other side drooped. Measure from ground, then switch articulation to the other side. Measure from the ground again. Measurement could be as high as 19 inches.

Gotcha. It seems my rear passenger cab mount is toast. It just keeps spinning and doesn't catch well. Anybody from back east have any ideas.

I sat inside and made noises, even thought for a second I was catching some air time...

Sitting in it made me missed driving my truck and also how close the seat is to the wheel...

The seat is close to the wheel because these trucks were designed to drive. Modern trucks have the steering wheel as far from the seat as possible because they were designed to crash.
