It is good to see love, care, and hard work going to get her back to a nice truck. Just sending her off to the scrap yard (like most people would do) is too easy and takes another one of these iconic classics off the road.

I couldn't agree anymore. :D I hope the cemetery has a big hole, cause I want to be buried in it.

Haha....did you know that has actually been done before?

Finished off with the parts truck today, it's so stripped no one wants it including the guys who advertise for picking up junk vehicles. one said they would come and get it if i paid them 100.

If you have a trailer, you can haul it to a recycler, or you can chop it up a bit and take it in the back of your truck, you can usually get enough if not more than covering your gas.
SInce I do more of this when I do take a trailer to scrap, I get a couple of hundred $$$ everytime.

I wish I had faceless to one or it would be gone already. My buddy sold his car hauler also. :doah:

I have it on Craigslist for 200 bucks with a clear title and even said make offer I'll probably take it.

well at this point I would offer it for free as long as you don't have to pay anything. Did you get enough out of it that you do not need to make money?
If the body is clean enough, you probably can make some money off it yet, I know a lot of east coasters that will pay you for pieces of rust free body parts.

The rear quarter is smashed up but could be worked out easily with a patch. I already got 400 back from it and I only paid 500. Sense I picked it up cheap enough I gave away and sold stuff cheap to friends.

I got to keep the front and rear diffs, trans, transfer case, all front end brackets and a silverado interior.

I'm going to break even a guy is supposed to bring a trailer this afternoon and pick the rest up for 100. :thumb:

It's gone.

Now I can actually start on this thread and make some progress. I hope everyone is just as excited as I'm, but at times I think I'm talking to myself in this thread. :haha:

I'm sure some are just waiting for the madness to begin, and in a few weeks it's going to.

I want to go outside right now and rip out the IFS and give it the one finger salute.

It's killing me, I want to go outside and start now! But we need to work on the house a little before my Dad goes in for surgery. While he is down, it's on like donkey kong.

Bazinga!!! Awwww yeah....been waiting years to see this bud. Keep the updates coming!
