Yeah kinda like Frank's Red Hot Sauce: use that sh!t on everything!

After a 15 min drive on the highway I get about 6 drops off the case. I think I'll be pulling it apart this weekend.

I resealed it years ago and it sat with no fluid in the garage. Maybe the silicone just didn't hold up.

Seems to be leaking from the extension housing on the rear.

Well looks like I also smashed the rear u joint caps to. Can't get the bolts out with a socket or wrench to pull the case...

Here are pics of the leaks, looks like case halfs and rear bearing retainer to me

Looks like instead of the lake on Sunday I'm pulling the case and sealing it. I'll have to run to my parents for my ez out bolt extractor set.

I can't get over how you'd rather skip the trip to the lake so you can tear apart that spotless, brand new case to track down what looks like a minuscule leak. :screwy:

I'm not faulting your decision, just realizing (yet again) that your truck isn't even from the same universe as mine, even if they were originally made in the same plant. I'm not sure my truck will ever be that clean. And if it is, I won't be worrying about leaks anymore.

What is the zip tie for?

It's burning on the exhaust and it won't last on the freeway.

It's a Janesville baby, and it's holding my shifter I don't have it going through the floor yet. Had to crawl under the truck with vise grips in moab

Had a buddy drive behind me the other day saying i was tossing a nice mist of trans fluid. I keep smelling it burning also....

It appears it is puking out my breather tube, I'm getting trans fluid up to the top of the trans dipstick where the breather is located.
I'm also getting a nice spray on the firewall, sorry Wade.:doah:

I guess the tcase can't keep up with the 75-80 mph the truck will do. I'm going to install a make shift puke tank and see what it looks like after a drive, this is unexcepable and needs to be fixed, I can't pull over on the side of the highway to top off the tcase on a road trip.

Yup, I like how it's still wrong haha.

I haven't tried yet but I should touch the case and see how warm it is. But still doesn't make any sense to me why it would be doing this.

Just drove it 80 to work the case was cool to the touch

You guys feel I'm asking to much out of it?
