What you described is correct, I just over looked the ebay ad and thought it came with both male and female side.

I sent Ryoken a PM thinking they were found in boats and he had no idea where to purchase them.

I'm having trouble drilling the new 2 inch shackle hanger hole... It's over lapping where the previous hole was and burning up a hole saw like no other and I have no torch.

So far on my lists of tools is annular cutter, but I can't mount my drill press sideways on the frame. :haha:

Rent a mag drill

They use electromagnets to hold on to the frame while you drill.
 
Well looks like I bent my frame trying to max the spring out.:doah:

Not sure what to do at this point but I feel like crying... :frown1:
 
How the eff is that even possible? Anyway, the right thing to do is either get a new frame, or take yours to a frame straightener and then box it.

I really can't see what happened, but if it were me, I would weld an 8 ft section of metal tubing on the frame, and start yanking.
 
Because the frames on these are flimsy as all can be and I had cross members out... I started pulling on it with a ratchet strap and it's coming around.

I think it will come back together once I start putting everything together. Once everything is done I'll put it on a frame rack.

For some reason I'm not to worried about it anymore. Should I:dunno:
 
Yep, these frames were bent the day after GM stamped them. Chain it down somehow, like to a tree or something, and use a come along and chain it back to where ever you want it. I mean realistically, 95% of these old square body frames are bent and drive down the road every day just fine. My Suburbans is bent in a twist. Driver side front is up an inch and a half over the pass side, and the rear the driver side is lower by 2 inches or so, last I checked anyways. Probably changed by now, its been awhile.
 
It looks a lot worse in the picture then what it is, eyeballing it looks just the front horn is tweaked a little. I already got it to come back some with a ratchet strap tied off to my Volkswagen.

I wouldn't worry, but that is me.
 
If you had a cross member at the front with a hitch in it, that wouldn't have happened.:whistle:

For those who don't know, we were going to build one the day I was the there. But the hitch he had was too big and dropped down. So it would not go through the license plate area.

:haha: This guy... I was looking at it the other day, I haven't tossed it yet. I think It might work if some of it gets cut and re plated to clear the bumper brackets. Even if part of the bumper gets cut and doesn't get covered up by a plate no biggy.

KTM, do you think the frame will be ok?
 
If it is straight enough. Put cross members in. And add the font one, sure.

If you had links and coil overs, you wouldn't have this issue. Just sayin.
 
I would love to have links and coil overs but at this time around it doesn't fit the budget.
