I don't have the bumps yet, should be here next week. :thumb:

I haven't gotten the axle to full bump yet might do that here shortly if I don't have to help move stuff.

Seems I can give all the help out but when it comes for me needing help everyone is busy or it rains like today.:doah: I have been waiting to hang fenders and a door for a month and a half, today was the day I had help and it's raining.

Seems between the both of you, I think I have it all figured out. When I start mocking up stuff I will post pictures.

Just to throw a wrench in things. You also need to figure on the axle being at full bump on one side and full droop on the other. If the shock is mounted very far out on the axle from the bump, the axle will be higher than at level bump.

If the shock and bump are both set and mounted on the spring plate, that would not be an issue.

Also the clearance for the inside of the top of the tires in the same instance. Mine rub the shocks hard. But I could not move the tops in any farther. Without the coils or the bypasses they would be OK. But I didn't design mine for the articulation I do now.

:doah: If it's not one thing it's another... This suspension design stuff is tricky.

I was hoping to use the factory mount off the axle to some f250 shock mounts and have the bumps hit the spring plates.

It's sad the most help I have gotten is when you came over for half the day.:thumb: I still very much appreciate you doing that, I can't wait to show you the finished product in moab.

Wont be completely finished by 8 months but it will be close enough at least running and driving.

Not sure if I can swing Moab this year but I'm going to try.

Pretty bummed out today I couldn't get anything done with the weather.

To check tire clearance to shocks during articulation I'm going to need the size tire I want to run for mock up correct?

I was afraid of that, didn't want t to hear that. Tax season is around d the corner that should pay for the tires.

I was thinking of km2's or general grabbers. It will be mostly desert terrain with occasional sand and snow.

Don't ask me which tires to buy. I ran BFG Baja TA's for 6 years. They sucked on snow and ice. Still used them.

Not happy with the Kevlar walled Goodyears I have on it now. Thing wants to push bad in the corners.

What I need is a set of tires that will work great in the snow. Durable enough for wheeling but grip dirt like and Indy car.

When you find out let me know. If the generals grabbed did well in snow I bet you have a good candidate.

I love the KM2s. They have impressed me at anything I have thrown at them. They even do well in snow.

Yes you have and I even took your suggestion on book marking and reading on the miller's website on how to improve your skills. :thumb: I will probably tack the brackets and have someone do the final welding.

Go to a community college and take a class; I took a TIG class and it was worth every penny. Well, your penny as I took it on the GI Bill.

Bumps should be here Wednesday, I'm leaning towards the BFG KM2's with a high load rating. Can't seem to find the tire size I want though.

My ideal size I want is a 305/75/16 which comes to a 34x12R16 Closet I can come to that is made is a 315/75/16 which is a 34.6x12.4R16

Yes, but the question is how would it work out with a 4 inch lift and would I have useable up travel?

At one point, member on here mudhog had 39.5's on 2.5" lift and nothing fancy. I think you can get away with 4" and 35's.
