Yes I know eventually the rear will get attention.

I found them on race dezert and made a offer, and the guy took it. I don't think he really knew what he had to be honest. I'm thinking about going with these for mounting the can

That kit comes without the cans just the gussets. :thumb: What do you mean by double up the frame?

So basically copy what I have above but weld that onto the frame? Would bolting it on be sufficient?

Yes you have and I even took your suggestion on book marking and reading on the miller's website on how to improve your skills. :thumb: I will probably tack the brackets and have someone do the final welding.

I have said it before, I got the front suspension you want in the works so learn from me. :pimp:

This is a learning process for the both of us, I plan on documenting setting this all up for everyone and myself. :waytogo:

Perfect. I needs me a good guinea pig :D

I think ive got it all pretty well figured out. Our setups prolly wont match perfectly with you going from 2wd to 4wd. Im sure wont be off too much though.

Im hoping to have my alcans ordered in the next few weeks and I can rip em apart and do the cycling. Then save up a few more weeks and order the bumps and shocks. Im gonna go with the profenders.

Nice, should be a good setup. I had to pry my leafs apart in a vice with a 5 foot pry bar. :eek1:

That isn't a bad idea at all, I didn't think I was going to go this far in depth with mine. But I figured if I'm going to do it, I want it 100% perfect working order.

Alright, today I was able to strip the other leaf spring apart. When I go to setup the shock do I want max up travel or go like half a inch before max and let the bump stop max out at that spot?

Did you get them already? Up travel limit should be defined by clearance of everything and whatever your spring supplier recommends for maximum reverse arc.

This is pretty much it.

Have you got the axle to full bump?

It was easy to mount mine because I was running already and I knew where I needed them. I am running 56s in front and they are still mostly stock so letting them go into a negative arch is bad.

Like Wade said leave at least a 1/2" of shock, I actually prefer to leave about 3/4 at least because it always seems like you are going to hit something harder than you think and you simply can't measure that.

Any specific questions?

You can look at my build thread to see how I mounted mine. I built my landing pads off the spring plates Pretty easy to do
