Brown Santa delivered the rest of my parts.
Hopefully it's a pretty productive weekend. I could start it this weekend.
But without VATS removed it would die withing a few seconds...
I saw one of these on the internet and it made me laugh so I made my own version...

Didn't get nearly as much as I had planned to get done this weekend but such is life.
I did get all the valve springs swapped out. That is a job I don't look forward to doing ever again...

I'm at a loss for what I want to do for headers.
I took these pictures from the internet, the top one is from Teck's thread.
Top Street and performance comes with v bands. Bottom Doug Thorleys.
I'm leaning towards the Thorleys but I can't make up my mind.
This is my idea for a air intake via spectra performance.
I would build boxes to close it in and have the opening on the core support feed the filters. But at 400 Dollars, I think it could be made much cheaper...

I don't think I will buy another set without the v bands. They are a really nice fitting set of headers.
My dad used to design headers for Doug Thorely. Does that help?
I love the design of the Thorleys but I love the v bands.
You have a torquey cam and you'll be making your power mid range. I think the Thorleys would suit your engine better.
Who was the guy on here that's doing a 500hp LS3? He has a prototype set of headers from some company that's supposed to be producing them now for the general public
Btw if you think changing valve springs is hard on an engine stand, try doing it inside the car
Nice call on the cold air intake. These LS motors LOVE their cold air. If you can, avoid using a metal intake tube as they absorb heat and warm up the intake air. You want to find a plastic type material or a urethane like my cold air kit:

I'm pretty sure he used the same headers that teck used from street & performance.
I can tell you they fit great with no modification to anything. Bolt up and go. I think they even made the passenger side one fit better then mine do know.
Go with the V-band clamps.

I remember doing mine harness.
What a nightmare it is, it's not hard just time consuming for sure. I got to the last piece of wire I needed to take the tape off and I managed to nick the wire and cut it open.
Got a line on a 14 bolt for my 5 lug 10 bolt and 2 rims. Lets keep our fingers crossed it's a 14FF.
You would probably be just fine with a semi floater.

Most likely, I need to rebuild the front axle, and I plan on towing with this truck. I guess it suits the overbuilt mall crawler theme I got going on.
Well at work a super charger is being removed off a Gen3... I might see about getting it. They have been known to get rid of stuff cheap.
